Some Drawings from sitting near the heater

I try to draw regularly because I think that it's good for seeing and looking and once started, drawing seems to take me to a part of my consciousness that is playful. So that mostly drawing in with a sense of joy and achievement.

Hoi An

The serried ranks of Chinese lanterns, perhaps waiting for the night.

Fascinating roof tiles on a lot of the old houses.

A bit of building work going on.

Halong Bay

We're just back in Hanoi from an overnight on Halong. We visited the Hang Sang Sot caves, swam at the beach, went kayaking and ate too much. It is the very picturesque place we'd heard about. During the night the  Monsoon made its presence felt with thunder lightening and heavy rain. Todays activity of kayaking was blessed with a respite before the rain resumed for our tranfer off the tender to our bus.

Phnom Penh Monsoonal Shower

The afternoon shower begins and grows in intensity, then slows and stops. A few hours later everything has dried up.

Since I last posted. Some things

Some work in various mediums. Mostly watercolour, but also pencil and tempera.
