Drawings a bit further on

I've added my need for geometry to these drawings and I am happy enough.

3 drawings & 2 paintings being worked on

I made the drawings above to try out some changes I've made to my egg medium. Later today I'll see how they've gone and do more on them.

This poor painting has had so many fits and starts perhaps it will reach the end of its journey from here.

The ground has been slightly pinked up although it's hard to see in the picture. I'm not sure about it yet.

Doddles

Sunday evening at the bungalow. The only distractions reading and doddling. It's amazing what comes out when I want avoid the book I'm not finding easy to get into.
The weather is cold and as the bungalow cools down I freeze towards bed.

Another painting beginning

Another painting begins. At the moment I have a number of unfinished paintings waiting for that final moment, but I had to move on after I did a drawing which inspired me to move to this, which does have a name that escapes me and it's too cold to go to the studio to find out.

A Weeks Holiday

We've been away on holiday. Some time at Tullycavan and sometime visiting my aunt at Lake Bolac where there happened to be one of my cousin's, her husband and two of their grandchildren. So there was that mysterious sense of connectedness that family brings to life experience.
I am amazed by how different life on holiday is, and I shouldn't be, I get a sense of endlessness in my experience of it. I love being away from towns and in the country where it gets very dark at night. Where sound sort of needs to be, sort out, rather than having it thrust upon me.
We came back from Lake Bolac to Tullycavan via Kensington to stay with Arion and do a little work. On Sunday we went to Church in Mirboo North, to the contemporary service. It happened to be in the round. It was lovely. Worshipful, relaxed and engaged. Afterwards lunch with friends. Almost the same.
I'll follow with some pictures

Jaffas paint Easter Murals

 The Yarragon mural

Trafalgar's mural
Both of these are obviously using the same drawing as a basis. I suppose that medieval colour symbolism could have been followed, but once the painting gets underway control is mostly lost. After both Jaffas were finished there little bits of editing to do and then up they went.
