Summer Days
Dahlias in the low light of New Years Eve.
I turned a corner and there they were in their discrete beauty. When I was a child they were flowers that Grandma's grew and looked the same, now their subtlety encourages me.
And in our garden magnolias burst forth one by one.
I was out hunting weeds and enjoying the variety of plants, insects and the sounds of birds. I'm maintaining a grassland that really wants to go back to forest. One day we will live there again and livestock will do the job for me, but I probably won't see the glory of these plants getting to go through their life cycle.
In the top left hand corner is a spider. I saw and walked through so many webs.
I was drawn to the lines drawn in nature by the decaying tree.
Rushes are something that I don't want when 'farming', but they have such a wonderful form.

We arrived home from Tullycavan and these were on the lawn. I am intrigued as to what they would be like on the water. I hope the myster...
