A Gathering of Things

Queen's Birthday weekend and oops! at lunch something got spilt.
These two beautiful coffee things have come into my life. Our son has a stainless steel espresso machine and I thought that it was good and wanted one, but thought I'd wait and see if one came into the Op Shop. Well that didn't happen, but in time these came.
This winter we have had some lovely weather with bright blue skies and still air. Not hot, but beautiful to work in.

All Fallen Over

This silver wattle has been overwhelmed. Mistletoe and rot and finally the wind. It will be good firewood when it has dried out.

A Gum Flowering in White

We were out walking and alongside the road was this gum with these lovely white flowers. It also has a lovely white bark. One of the little pleasures of wandering.

At Tullycavan

I was out with the mattock for a walk and weed chip when I was surprised by the strength and elongation of my shadow in the winter sun.

Another moment of being struck by the light and also a sense of monumentality in the power pole.

A Silver Wattle poleaxed by age and mistletoe. They don't really help their cause by sending out branches that have so much gravity to defy.
